art

general

Ngl I have no idea what to put here!!! Uhhh I mostly draw myself. I love drawing gore and horror and outfits I think are cool or hot but I really suck at coming up with outfits so I always have to go and google "cute outfit" or some shit. Sometimes I use pose sketches/bases as references because I suck at dynamic poses or just coming up with poses in general. I like to use palettes in my art once in a while. I'm best at drawing humans. I usually go through multiple stages of prep when making a full drawing, and my favorite part of drawing is and always has been shading. A close runner-up is sketching. My least favorite part has always been lining; I don't really know why but I just don't enjoy it very much.

I like to at least try to diversify the personalities and backstories of my OCs but I always end up picking favorites with the surface level edgelords with red eyes and dark hair; I have an abundance of those. Yes I do have same face syndrome and I don't care. I sometimes wish my art style was more unique and dramatic but I'm far too enveloped in the constant implementation of semi-realism into my artwork and end up subconsciously ignoring those desires for the sake of having my art look somewhat realistic in the end anyway; it's been a really long time since I've done any sort of drastic deliberate art style change and I'm not quite used to it anymore since my art style has generally stayed the same for at least a year.

biography

quick introduction

As you've probably already guessed by now, I have a lot of stuff to say about myself. I figured it would be cool to have a special tab for info about some of my history, but I won't be going in too deep or anything. This section will mostly contain stuff about my creative history rather than anything else particularly serious.

biography

I started drawing a lot when I was very young, some time around 3 years old or so. I was considered skilled at it even then, but I had never thought much about it for a long time up until late 2014, where I began taking my skills more seriously and putting them to more use than before. Obviously, I started out with traditional art. I only experimented with digital art whenever I found the opportunity to on a laptop with a mouse or touchpad; these rare happenings came around from early 2015 to late 2016. Some of that absolutely archaic art is still published on the web in some places. I started with drawing Animal Jam characters, as that was my favorite game at the time.

Very late 2016 was when I got my first phone, and subsequently also when I permenantly moved to digital art. It's not like I never did traditional art again, but I spent much more time doing digital art than traditional art since I finally had the appropriate resources. For a long time I used a stylus with a skinny foam tip, but eventually it broke off, and I was forced to resort to using my finger instead for a long while. That was rough. Around this same time, I continued to draw feral animals such as canines or felines, but I found out about the animation community on YouTube and subsequently eventually found out what furries were and started drawing those for a while. I was too bad at drawing humans to draw much else, so that's just what I started with.

For a long time, I continued drawing my silly little kitties and puppies and furries constantly. I'd also make my fair share of fan art for various creators and fandoms over the years. Around early 2018 was when I finally started to experiment with drawing humans significantly more often. I'd draw myself, the guy I had a crush on, and I created some human OCs to experiment even more, and I improved significantly in a short period of time. Since that point, I feel like I've never really gone back to my furry roots; I became too good at drawing humans.

Since then, I transitioned fully into drawing humans. I'd mostly draw myself and other people present in my life to express my feelings for a long time, and that's how I got my practice drawing humans. Because I've spent the last few years drawing humans exclusively, I've done a complete 180, and now I suck at drawing furries and feral animals like canines and felines, ironically enough. I'm not particularly devastated by this change, but it is a little awkward when I try and fail to draw my older OCs from time to time. I still mostly draw humans these days with minimal practice drawing animals or furries.
